Sri Lanka has been ranked 117th in the global happiness index.
According to the United Nations fourth World Happiness Report, Si Lanka has climbed 15 notches with 4.415 points. The report compiled by the UN’s Sustainable Development Solutions Network saw Sri Lanka ranked at 132 last year.
According to the survey, Denmark is the world’s happiest country while Burundi is least happy. The UN report is an analysis of data generated from surveys of 1,000 people in each country every year for three years. They were asked to evaluate their lives on a ladder scale of zero to 10.
